This is one of the most visually stunning coastal rides in the world on the FV-104, starting from the quiet village of Parque Holandés and finishing in the vibrant northern surf town of Corralejo.
The character of the road is defined by unbelievable color contrasts and shifting landscapes. As you enter the protected Parque Natural de Corralejo, you’ll ride a ribbon of black asphalt surrounded by pure white sand dunes that often spill right onto the road. Despite popular belief, this sand didn’t blow over from the Sahara—it is actually organic, formed over millennia from pulverized marine shells. To your right, the bright turquoise Atlantic offers unobstructed views of Isla de Lobos, named after the monk seals that once inhabited its shores.
