À quoi s'attendre
This is one of the most dramatic scenic rides in La Palma along the LP-1, descending from the coastal cliffs of La Punta, carving through the legendary Barranco de Las Angustias, and opening into the sunny Aridane Valley towards Los Llanos.
The character of the road is defined by its spectacular transitions and technical switchbacks. Passing the famous Mirador de El Time—perched nearly 600 meters above the canyon floor—the road plunges into the Barranco de Las Angustias, the main geological outlet for the Caldera de Taburiente National Park. Crossing the canyon floor, you climb out directly into the warm microclimate of Los Llanos de Aridane.
A dynamic mix of fast coastal sweepers and steep, tight hairpins requiring good throttle control and confident braking. Enjoy breaking out into the sunny valley, soak in the golden afternoon light over the Atlantic, and experience the journey on a versatile tourer like the 2025 Honda XL750 Transalp.
