À quoi s'attendre
This is the magnificent northern descent of Gran Canaria on the GC-30, starting from the lush green heights of Valleseco, passing through the beautiful village of Firgas, and finishing in the striking historic town of Arucas.
The character of the road changes beautifully as you drop in altitude from the cool, humid forests at 1,000 m down to the warmer northern coast. Winding through the fertile midlands, you’ll pass Firgas—famous throughout the islands for its natural mineral water springs—before sweeping through sprawling banana plantations. Although commonly called the “Cathedral of Arucas,” the stunning building at the finish line is actually a parish church crafted entirely from local dark volcanic stone by master stonemasons.
A fantastic ride that perfectly captures the island’s incredible contrasts. Slow down, enjoy the rhythm of the smooth downhill corners and panoramic Atlantic views, and experience the journey on a capable bike like the 2026 Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid.
